Kim Funkey Pesante

Founder

I’m a Palm Springs native, a mother to two beautiful toddler boys, and a woman deeply committed to creating spaces where healing and connection flourish. My life’s work is rooted in presence, purpose, and care — qualities I strive to weave into everything I create.

For the past several years, I’ve poured my heart into Power Yoga Palm Springs, a space where movement, breath, and community come together to inspire transformation. Most recently, my vision has grown into The Soma House — a sanctuary for restoration and renewal, offering contrast therapy, bodywork, facials, and community rituals that invite people to slow down, reconnect, and feel deeply at home in their bodies.

I’m married to the love of my life, and my family is both my anchor and my inspiration. Whether I’m guiding a yoga practice, curating a healing experience, or welcoming someone into our space for the first time, my hope is always the same: that they leave feeling more grounded, more open, and more connected — to themselves and to this beautiful desert community we call home..

ABOUT THE SOMA HOUSE

The Soma House was born from the belief that restoration is a radical act and that healing happens best in community.

For years, I dreamed of creating a space like this, one that feels like an exhale.

As the owner of Power Yoga Palm Springs, just upstairs, I’ve had the honor of spending the past several years welcoming people into a space for movement, breath, and transformation. Over time, I felt a gentle pull to offer more! To create a place where healing could extend beyond the mat, reaching deeper into the body, the nervous system, and the senses.

The Soma House grew from that vision.
A space where you can walk in and feel instantly at home, comfortable, welcomed, seen, heard, and held.

This is a place to slow down.
To reconnect.
To rest in ritual.

What We Believe

At The Soma House, we believe in the power of slowness. In warm light, herbal tea, contrast, touch, and ceremony.
We believe in honoring the body as it is — tired, tender, vibrant, or anything in between.
We believe rest is not a reward — it’s a right.

Every offering — from sauna and cold plunge to massage, facials, classes, and moon gatherings — is designed to support your nervous system and guide you gently back to yourself.

For Those Who Feel the Call

This space is for the seekers. The sensitive. The ones holding so much for everyone else.

For those who crave a softer pace…
Who find healing in presence…
Who value ritual, connection, and embodied care…

Whether you're here to sweat, to soften, to feel, or to be still — you belong here.

The Soma House is not for everyone. It’s for the ones who know when it’s time to come home.
